THE PRESIDENT of Lamoiyan Industries, maker of the Filipino-owned Hapee toothpaste, urged Thomasians to aspire becoming “hapee entrepreneurs” in a business symposium last Sept. 20 at the Medicine Auditorium.
In “Hapee Entrepreneur: Making a Difference,” Cecilio Pedro gave the audience his five ingredients for success—hard work, an orientation toward achievement, prayer, flexibility, and endurance, to become “hapee entrepreneurs”.
Pedro also told the audience that the company shows its social responsibility through medical outreach programs and basic sign language education to over 400 deaf and mute students nationwide.
Aside from the symposium, the College of Commerce and Accountancy (CCA) held other activities during its 69th foundation anniversary week last Sept. 16-21. The College organized Lingap Kapwa (an outreach program), the Mr. and Ms. Commerce beauty pageant, Inquest quiz bee Finals, the general alumni homecoming and the recognition of CCA’s most outstanding alumni, and the faculty’s lecture-seminar with guest speaker Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Fr. Jose Aureada, O.P. as guest speaker. Elka Krystle R. Requinta
