A RESERVED Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadet won the National Philippine Army ROTC Rifle/Pistol Shooting Competition 2004 held last Nov. 26-28 at the Camp Riego de Dios in Tanza, Cavite.
Cadet Renz Louise Urbano, an Engineering freshman, placed first in the Caliber .45 Pistol category, besting the other shooters from the country’s 13 regions.
Urbano, a son of an army reserve officer, represented the National Capital Region along with San Sebastian College Recolletos-Manila’s Roniel Roxas and Lester Quano of De La Salle University–Manila in the regional eliminations.
Urbano, the only representative from UST, was trained by TSgt. Christopher Chua, the Department of Military Science and Tactics’ assistant commandant for administration and logistics, and tactical officer Sgt. Ricardo Manuel.
