THE COLLEGE of Education’s Nutrition and Dietetics (ND) department now has its own nutrition laboratory to give its students better training.
According to CE Dean Clotilde Arcanghel, the new facility will help food technology students excel in nutrition.
“We have always been topping (the licensure examinations) even without a laboratory, and if there were a number higher than one, I would expect that (we would be it),” said Arcanghel during the inauguration last Jan 29.
Arcanghel added that the with the two courses having different scopes, the new laboratory solely for ND department will provide its students better practical applications in their field.
Before, the ND students and Hotel and Restaurant Management students shared the same laboratory. The laboratory is located on the first floor of the Education Bldg. Ma. Cristina S. Lavapie
