THE ONLY recognized fraternity of UST had sponsored the construction of the Rosary Garden, in line with its’ golden anniversary.

Alpha Phi Omega (APO)-Pi Chapter donated P2,200,000 for the construction of the Rosarium slated to open on Sept .28.

Pi Alumni Chapter president Manuel Alvero, said the greatest legacy that APO would turn over to UST is this sponsorship, through its alumnus Ramon Sungcuya, who negotiated with University officials to come up with the said project.

Meanwhile, twelve alumni of the APO-Pi Chapter were honored in the fraternity’s grand homecoming at the Isla Ballroom of Edsa Shangri-La last Aug. 23.

Recipients of the “12 Jewels of Pi Chapter”or the individuals who contributed to the growth of thechapter include Sungcuya, former president of APO-Pi USA chapter, Hadrian Lara, and, St. Luke’s Hospital cardiologist Mon Reyes. Other recipients of the award were Edgar Cruz, Domingo Taguinod, Vice Admiral Danilo Cortez, Maj. Gen. Leocadio Santiago, Gabriel Paulino, Eric Serrano, Emelito Felix, Joselito Alvarado, and Homer Yamsuan.

APO also gave an award for leadership which was given to Pi Alumni Chapter president Manuel Alvero, Victory Feria for friendship, the one who founded APO-Pi chapter, and Jose Tianco for Service

APO-Pi Chapter is the University’s counterpart of the worldwide brotherhood. It is the only fraternity in UST recognized by the Office for Student Affairs. Reden D. Madrid
