January 10, 2016, 1:31p.m. – THE NEW parish priest of the Santisimo Rosario Parish in UST is set to be installed on Jan. 12.
Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P., director of the UST Social Media Bureau, will serve a three-year term as the 14th pastor of the Santisimo Rosario Parish under the Archdiocese of Manila.
Fr. Coronel will replace Fr. Franklin Beltran, O.P., regent of the College of Science.
Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle will lead the Holy Mass and solemn installation rites.
Fr. Coronel is the editor of Boletin Ecclesiastico de Filipinas, the interdiocesan bulletin published by the University.
The Santisimo Rosario Parish Church, which also serves as the University chapel, became a parish on March 21, 1942 by decree of Manila Archbishop Michael O’ Dougherty. It is part of the Vicariate of Our Lady of Loreto. Lea Mat P. Vicencio
