Oct. 7 2016, 11:37 p.m. – THE UNIVERSITY was named the third top-performing school in the September 2016 licensure examinations for mechanical engineers.

UST posted a 92-percent passing rate, with 115 Thomasians making the cut out of 125 examinees, results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.

This was a significant increase from last year’s 63.21 percent, in which 67 passed out of 106 examinees from UST.

The University of the Philippines-Diliman remained the top performing school with a 100-percent passing rate.

The national passing rate increased to 69.57 percent, with 3,110 passing the test out of 4, 470 examinees, from last year’s 55.25 percent, in which 2,136 passed the test out of 3,866 examinees. T.J.P.K. Ortiz
