Nov. 7 2016, 11:13 p.m. – IN RECOGNITION of their significant contributions to society and the Church, UST will honor 28 Thomasian alumni in this year’s The Outstanding Thomasian Alumni (TOTAL) Awards on Nov. 18 at the Buenaventura G. Paredes, O.P. Building.

The 2016 TOTAL Awards will also give two special awards: the Young Thomasian Achiever Award to Albert Joseph C. Emas (BS Mechanical Engineering, 2005) and Rubilen D. Amit (BS Accountancy, 2002), and the Lasala Family for the Outstanding Thomasian Family.

The awardees were nominated either by their respective deans, principals or regents; any administrator, faculty member, support staff or student; any recognized UST alumni association; any recognized Thomasian alumni chapters or groups; any former recipient of the TOTAL Award; any Thomasian alumnus or alumna; any accredited professional organization and its affiliates; or any reputable institution.

All nominees went through a selection process led by the screening committee, which determined the candidates for final review by the UST Alumni Association Board Trustees and approval by the Rector.

The annual TOTAL Awards, which began in 1993, is the highest honor bestowed by the University upon Thomasian alumni. Roy Abrahmn D.R. Narra
