UST improves in March 2018 med-tech board exams

THE UNIVERSITY improved its passing rate in the March 2018 licensure examinations for medical technologists, results from the Professional Regulation Commission showed.

UST’s passing rate improved to 82.61 percent, or 19 out of 23 examinees, from last year’s 79.49 percent or 31 out of 39 examinees.

Alvin Bahin of Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation in Tacloban, Leyte led the country’s fresh batch of medical technologists with a score of 90.50 percent.

Adventist University of the Philippines and Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus were the top-performing schools in this year’s board exams after garnering 100-percent passing rates.

The national passing rate slipped to 72.67 percent, or 2,648 out of 3,644 examinees, compared with last year’s 73.94 percent or 2,378 out of 3,216 examinees.
