UST slips in May 2019 civil eng’g boards

THE UNIVERSITY recorded a 54.05-percent passing rate, or 20 out of 37 Thomasians, in the May 2019 civil engineering licensure examinations.

This was lower than last year’s 61.76 percent, or 21 out of 34 examinees.

Ronie Tarriga II of University of Cebu led the country’s newest batch of civil engineers, with a score of 95.20 percent.

De La Salle University in Manila remained the top-performing school, recording a 90.29-percent passing rate, or 93 out of 103 examinees.

The national passing rate rose to 38.08 percent, or 3,372 out of 8,855 examinees, from last year’s 36.03 percent, or 2,738 passers out of 7,599 examinees.
