A COLLEGE of Science senior was held up inside her friend’s car last Sept. 10 at around 3 p.m. near the Arch of the Centuries.

According to the UST Office for Security Affairs report, the victim, who asked not to be identified, was sleeping on the driver’s seat of her friend’s blue Honda Civic parked along Tamayo Drive when she felt someone sat beside her.

When she woke up, an unidentified man told her to drive the car around the campus because of the security guard’s alleged order.

But she refused, forcing the man to grab her, and poke a sharp object to her waist.

The man then tried to steal the car keys, but the student refused and immediately screamed for help.

However, the victim was robbed of month-old Nokia 8310 cellular phone.

After the robbery, the culprit fled towards the Main Building.

According to witnesses, the guy was sitting near the car prior to the incident.

“Usually talaga may guard dun pero noong time na ‘yun, walang guard kaya sa tingin ko inabangan talaga niya ako,” she said.

The victim expressed her disappointment toward the University’s security force.

“Akala ko ‘di nangyayari yun dito (sa loob ng UST). Akala mo safe na safe ka dito,” she said.

Meanwhile, the UST-OSA is already investigating the incident.
