THE UNIVERSITY posted a 12.50-percent passing rate in the February 2020 licensure examinations for mechanical engineers. Two out of 16 Thomasians passed the test.

Last year, UST posted 58.82-percent passing rate, with 10 out of 17 Thomasian examinees making the cut.

Glemar Guarin of the University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City and Julius Ezra Gundran of De La Salle University in Manila were named topnotchers, each other them scoring 91.30 percent.

Batangas State University in Alangilan, Batangas was the top-performing school this year, with a passing rate of 92.55 percent or 174 out of 188 examinees.

The national passing rate slid to 38.45 percent, or 1,334 out of 3,469 examinees, from last year’s 50.49 percent or 1,538 out of 3,046 examinees.
