Asst. Prof. Jerralyn Padua is the new assistant to the Rector for information and communications technology

THE FORMER dean of the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS) has been named assistant to the rector for information and communications technology, the Office of the Secretary General has announced.

Asst. Prof. Jerralyn Padua, who spearheaded the transition of CICS from an institute to a college, replaced Fr. Wenifredo Padilla, O.P., who assumed the position in January 2022. 

Asst. Prof. Christopher Ladao of the Department of Information Systems was named acting dean of the CICS.

Also appointed was UST Senior High School faculty member Frederick Prevosa, who replaced Leo-Martin Ocampo as executive assistant of the Office of the Vice Rector for Religious Affairs.

UST Simbahayan will have Asst. Prof. Christian Rimando, the community development coordinator of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, as its assistant director.

Palanca award-winning poet Asst. Prof. Paul Castillo was named deputy director of the UST Publishing House. Castillo succeeded Asst. Prof. Benedict Parfan, who was promoted to director on Aug. 1.
