THE SENATE Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs has summoned suspects behind the hazing death of UST law freshman Horacio Castillo III to its second hearing on Wednesday.

Aegis Juris officers and fratmen Arvin Balag, Aeron Salientes, Mhin Wei Chan, Mark Anthony Ventura, Oliver John Audrey Onofre, Ralph Trangia, Ranie Rafael Santiago, Zimon Padro, Joahua Joriel Macabali, Karl Matthew Villanueva, Jose Miguel Salamat, Danielle Hans Matthew Rodrigo, Axel Munro Hipe, and Marcelino Bagtang were issued subpoenas on Oct. 12 to answer questions regarding Castillo’s death.

The suspects are facing complaints of murder, robbery and violation of the Anti-Hazing Law.

Trangia, one of the lead suspects in Castillo’s death, returned from Chicago on Oct. 10. He fled the country two days after Castillo’s death on Sept. 17 following the initiation rites of the Aegis Juris Fraternity.
