A FORMER section librarian of the UST Graduate School was appointed chief librarian by Fr. Rector Tamarlane Lana, O.P. last April 1.
Estrella Majuelo took over from former acting chief librarian Angelita Tumbangcaya, who served in an acting capacity for two years after Erlinda Flores retired from the position in 2001. Tumabangcaya now serves as the assistant chief librarian.
Majuelo said the UST Central Library will undergo changes, especially its computer system.
She added that students could expect the library “to give the best services to their clientele in terms of library facilities and collections,” as several renovations in the library have been planned.
Majuelo graduated from the College of Education in 1977. She finished her master’s degree in Library Science at the UST Graduate School last March. Richard L. Rodriguez
