A FACULTY of Engineering student committed suicide last May 29 allegedly because of debarment.

The Crime Investigation Division of the Central Police District reported that Adrian Robles was found dead and hanging by a curtain cord looped around his neck from a spiral staircase at the second floor of his house.

Upon untying her son’s lifeless body, Josephine, Robles’ mother, informed the police.

Contrary to what was reported by the media, the 18-year-old student enrolled in the Information Management program of the Far Eastern University-East Asia College.

“We can validate Mr. Robles’ admission to our college,” FEU-EAC executive director Richard Jude Limgenco told the Varsitarian. “The student enrolled here last May 24, attended the orientation the following day, and was supposed to have his first day of classes last June 2.”

The parents of Robles as well as the Faculty of Engineering also refused to comment on the student’s suicide. Kris P. Bayos and Edsel Van d.T. Dura
