January 10, 2016, 1:11p.m. –  TWO THOMASIANS made it to the top 10 of the December 2015 Industrial Engineering Certification Examination, results from the Industrial Engineering Certification Board showed.

Karla Jane Sale placed second with a score of 83.33 percent, leading 52 other successful examinees from the University. John Michael Payawal of Adamson University topped the exam with a score of 86.46 percent. 

Meanwhile, Ronald Chua Siao of UST placed eighth with a score of 80.47%.

The national passing rate declined to 74.33 percent with 336 making the cut out of 452 examinees, compared with last year’s 76.20 percent. 

Last year, two Thomasians out of the total 32 successful UST examinees also landed in the top 10. 

The certification exam, which is now on its seventh year, is administered by the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers. It is a voluntary exam that validates an individual’s qualifications in the field of industrial engineering. Alhex Adrea M. Peralta
