Thomasian profs elected to nat’l research council

A PROFESSOR from the College of Science is the new president of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).

Christina Binag, professor at the Department of Chemistry, was elected president during NRCP’s annual scientific conference and 84th general membership assembly at the Philippine International Convention Center last March 22.

Maria Natalia Dimaano of the Faculty of Engineering was elected corporate secretary.

NRCP is a body of highly trained scientists and researchers promoting fundamental or basic research for the improvement of the country’s research capabilities.

The organization fosters linkages with local and international scientific organizations for enhanced cooperation and sharing of scientific information.
