Engineering prof Jerry Ngo, 47

ASST. PROF. Jerry Ngo, who taught electronics engineering courses at the Faculty of Engineering, died on Monday following cardiac arrhytmia. He was 47.

His death was confirmed to the Varsitarian by his sister Marilyn Ngo.

He finished his bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering at UST in 1994 and finished his master’s degree at Mapua Institute of Technology in 2006.

Ngo was a Certified Cisco Academy Instructor and was an active member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines.

Condolences and prayers from former students and colleagues of Ngo poured in social media.

“Will surely miss you, Sir Ngo. ‘Di mo na ako naabutan grumaduate. ‘Yon pa naman lagi mong tanong sa akin pag nagkakasalubong tayo,” Junel Fronda, an electronics engineering student, said in his Facebook post.

His body was cremated at La funeraria Paz, Quezon City.
