A NUMBER of University scholars were given recognition during the first Thomasian Scholar Awards last March 12 at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium.

The Becarios de Santo Tomas, the official association of scholars in the University, awarded Literature freshman Jennifer Garcia and Pre-Commerce sophomore Roxanne Magpantay the Best San Martin Scholar award, while Accounting senior and Varsitarian student clerk Marchellie Balay, Music junior Lawrence Marion Galvez, Electrical Engineering junior German Lawrence dela Cruz, and graduating Electronics and Communications Engineering student Denny Geronimo, Jr. received Best San Lorenzo working scholar honors. Katrina Ann Tan, a Painting junior, and Biology freshman Mike Kenneth Doratan had the highest grade point averages (GPA) with 1.12 to receive the Best Santo Tomas GPA award.

Meanwhile, minor citations were also given such as the Complete Attendance award, Early Bird award, Male and Female Scholar of the Day, Loyalty award, Inspirational award, and Bibbo Member of the Year award. Kris P. Bayos
