TWO THOMASIANS landed in the top 10 of the September 2019 licensure examinations for medical technologists, while the University ranked ninth among top-performing schools.

Joven Francis Morales led the new batch of Thomasian medical technologists after getting a 90-percent score, finishing fourth in the exams. John Lester Fabella placed sixth with an 89.60-percent score.

The University recorded a 95.93-percent passing rate, after 283 of 295 Thomasian examinees passed the examinations. Last year, the University was the fifth top-performing school with a 96.49-percent passing rate, or 220 out of 228 examinees.

Reiven John Bernales of University of San Agustin topped this year’s examinations with a 90.50-percent score.

Cebu Doctors University was the top-performing school for the third-straight year with all of its 100 examinees passing the examinations.

The national passing rate slipped to 73.50 percent, or 4,743 of 6,453 examinees, from last year’s 77.73 percent, or 4,718 of 6,070 examinees.
