THE IN-PERSON “homecoming” rites for Grade 12 students have been rescheduled to Aug. 25, the UST Senior High School (SHS) announced on Wednesday.

The homecoming Mass, “ROARientation,” and passage through the Arch of the Centuries for the basic education cluster were originally scheduled for Wednesday.

The events were suspended due to heavy rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm “Florita.”

Students may begin entering the Quadricentennial Pavilion by 6:45 a.m., the SHS said.

Grades 8 and 9 students from the UST Junior High School (JHS) will not be joining the event, JHS Principal Assoc. Prof. Marishirl Tropicales earlier told the Varsitarian.

The University suspended classes in all levels and office work on Aug. 23 due to inclement weather.

Rainfall warnings caused by “Florita” have been lifted as of 11 a.m. on Aug. 24 as the storm continued to move away outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said. Joanne Christine Ramos
