THE UNIVERSITY posted a 59.47-percent passing rate in the May 2023 licensure examinations for certified public accountants (CPA), in which 113 out of 190 Thomasians passed.

UST’s passing rate declined from 63.90 percent or 269 out of 421 examinees in October 2022.

Alexander Bandiola Jr. of the University of Cordilleras ranked first nationwide, scoring 89.50 percent.

The University of the Philippines Diliman was named the top-performing school after obtaining a 93.22-percent passing rate, or 55 out of 59 examinees.

The national passing rate rose to 30.36 percent (2,239 out of 7,376 examinees) from October’s 25.84 percent (1,722 out of 6,665).
