THE UNIVERSITY is set to open the second round of national ID registration in the Sampaloc campus from Oct. 23 to 25, the Office of the Secretary General has announced. 

In a circular dated Oct. 12, UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P. announced there would be a second run of the national ID registration on campus and claiming of IDs for those who registered last year. 

The on-site registration will be open to Dominican Fathers, administrative and academic officials, academic and support staff, maintenance staff, students, alumni, the UST Central Seminary, UST Hospital administrators and staff, and parishioners of the Santísimo Rosario Parish.

Relatives of University stakeholders aged five and above may also book an appointment for the national ID registration, which will be conducted at the lobby of the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building. 

Thomasians who wish to register must secure an appointment through the UST-PhilSys Appointment System, which will be open from Oct. 14 to 17, and bring the required requirements on the date of appointment. 

The primary documents required to apply for a national ID are as follows:

  • Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-issued Certificate of Live Birth and one government-issued identification document
  • Valid Philippine passport or e-passport from the Department of Foreign Affairs
  • Unified Multi-purpose ID Card issued by the Government Service lnsurance System or Social Security System 
  • Student’s License Permit or Non-Professional/Professional Driver’s License issued by the Land Transportation Office

In case the registrants do not have any of the primary documents, they may bring an original copy of the following secondary documents:

  • PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth or National Statistics Office-issued Certificate of Live Birth with Birth Reference Number
  • Local Civil Registry Office-issued Certificate of Live Birth
  • PSA-issued Report of Birth
  • PSA-issued Certificate of Foundling
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines Identification Card
  • Professional Regulatory Commission ID
  • Seaman’s Book
  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration ID
  • Senior Citizen’s ID
  • SSS ID
  • Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program ID
  • License to Own or Possess Firearms ID
  • NBI Clearance
  • Police Clearance/ID
  • Solo Parent’s ID
  • PWD ID
  • Voter’s ID
  • Postal ID
  • Taxpayer Identification Number ID
  • Philhealth ID
  • Philippine Retirement Authority-issued Special Resident Retiree’s Visa 
  • National ID from other countries
  • Residence ID from other countries

National IDs registered during the first round in UST in August 2022 may be claimed from Oct. 23 to 25. 

Gate 7 at Padre Noval Street was designated as the entrance and exit point for registrants and those who will claim their national IDs. 

New registrants must present their appointment slip, while those who will claim national IDs must present a valid ID. 

Those with symptoms like cough, colds, and flu-like symptoms must wear face masks.
