UST again notched a perfect passing rate in the licensure examinations for nurses, extending its flawless streak to nine years in the November 2023 cycle. 

All 300 Thomasian examinees, including seven topnotchers, passed, making UST the top-performing school in the latest exam cycle.

UST has recorded a perfect passing rate in each nursing board examination cycle since 2015.

Aleck Ison led the fresh crop of Thomasian nurses, placing No. 3 nationwide with a 90.60-percent score.

Thomasians Alyssa Corpuz, Jeffrey Din, and Ivan Martinez shared the eighth spot after scoring 89.60 percent. 

UST’s Troy Bisa placed ninth with a score of 89.40 percent, while Julia Baltazar and Frances Paat tied for 10th place with an 89.20-percent score. 

Aristotle Castronuevo of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and Cris Tomboc of West Visayas State University, La Paz topped the November 2023 licensure exams for nurses after both scored 91 percent. 

UST shared the No. 1 spot in the list of top-performing schools with 16 other universities that tallied perfect passing rates. 

It was the top producer of new nurses among these schools. 

The national passing rate rose to 80 percent (25,761 of 32,203) from 74.94 percent (10,764 of 14,364) in the May 2023 cycle.

The November 2023 licensure exams for nurses were conducted from Nov. 11 to 12.
