Luggage
Mother said one must get rid of luggage as soon as possible.
How I should, for example, learn to ride the bicycle again,
to balance weight on two flimsy rubber wheels.
Weight that took me 12 years to get rid of. Weight that was
ice cream/chocolate cake/ bowls of sinigang na baboy sagging down my arms,
dragging down my thighs, sucking my navel in like a deep hell hole.
I was on my way to Baguio two weeks ago and she packed my whole cabinet.
A change of perspective
“By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” - Confucius
AT SOME point, I wished that this vacation would never end. But still, I’m grateful that I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it. I attended parties, visited long lost friends, even spent my time driving around the province for some sort of adventure.

Sa klase ni Propesor Coroza
Tatapakan ko ang iyong anino
sa tuwing tatangkain mong lumayo.
Igagapos kita nang ubod higpit
nang habambuhay ka nang kapalad ko.
Patulugin mang pilit, puso’t isip
lasunin man ang iyong gunita’t puri
