AN INCOMING freshman risked suspension even before the start of the school year after allegedly verbally abusing two security guards last April 3.

The incoming freshman, a minor, had reportedly been driving his car through Leon Ma. Guerrero Drive in front of the Main Bldg. Guards told him that he should park in the pay parking area because only vehicles with the University conduction stickers and those headed for the Santissimo Rosario Parish are allowed to pass through the street.

It was then that the teenager allegedly dressed down security guard William Deloviar, asking the guard for the “price of his life.”

Security guard Eric Mangundayao tried to admonish the minor about the latter’s behavior. But, the young man lashed at him too.

The student later tried to make a swift exit to the Lacson Gate, but the guard there pulled down to stop him.

The minor was asked to step out of his car, but he refused.

Even Office for Security Affairs station commander Nestor Dingayal and the University Belt Area Police were unsuccessful in making the student get out of his car. The student only alighted when his mother arrived.

In the end, the student was reprimanded and told to be courteous to people enforcing campus traffic rules. Billy Joe I. Allardo
